We are really excited about all of the amazing experiences we provide outside of the classroom setting. The opportunities that children have through accessing our Outdoor Learning curriculum has really engaged some of our learners in to their learning journey. Outdoor Learning has proved to be successful in helping children write for a purpose and have produced some excellent follow up work from these activities. Have look below to see what we've been getting up to.
Reception - Woodland Habitats. Not only did we find lots of animal's homes but we helped build some new ones using natural materials. We also saw a beautiful butterfly.
Year 4 - LITTER PICKING! Doing our bit for school and for the local community.
Year 3 - Building Roman Roads. We used cement to form the correct layers - just like the Romans did when they built their roads.
Year 2 - Team Building Skills. This was ace! Even though some of the challenges were tricky, we loved it.
Year 4 - Visit to Hazel Slack Farm to see the wonders of dairy!
Year 3 - We have been to North Dean Woods building Werewolf dens.
Year 4 - We have been building Saxon Wood Houses in the forest using fallen branches and logs we found in the woods.
