On behalf of the staff and governors of Elland Church of England school - welcome to our website. Our website aims to give you a picture of school life. There’s lots of information about our school, for both children, parents and carers. We hope you'll enjoy browsing what’s on offer.
Our school is situated in the heart of Elland town centre and serves the local community where children from different faiths, backgrounds and abilities learn together. We are an aided school. We work hard to embody our Christian ethos in all aspects of school life and are proud of our strong links with our Parish churches, St. Mary’s and All Saints.
I am proud to be the Acting Headteacher here at Elland. Our fantastic pupils, amazing staff team, involved and knowledgeable governors and supportive parents make it a wonderful place to work, learn and grow together. Our teachers are dedicated, conscientious in their duties and devote a great deal of time and effort to provide high quality education for all our pupils.
There are many opportunities for parents and carers to get involved with their child’s education. A strong partnership between school and home gives the best opportunity for a child’s success.
Visits to the school are encouraged and welcomed – myself or my team would be more than happy to show you around and answer any further questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you.
Our website is regularly updated so please come back often.

Who We Are
Elland Church of England School is a Church School for pupils between the ages of 3 and 11 years. It is one part of a community of communities – being a member of the family of the Diocese of Leeds whilst at the same time serving the parish community of St Mary’s and All Saints Church, Elland.
Co-operating with God's continuing act of Creation, Elland C of E School is a welcoming community that seeks to be a safe place to live and work. By embedding Christian Values, we will encourage our learners to be resilient and to develop a love of learning. We promote high standards of achievement in all the children do and the goals they set for themselves. By enabling our children to make informed choices and to learn how disagreement and recognition of difference can be combined with love and respect for all people, we will prepare them for life in Britain today.
Motto: Welcome, Safe Haven, Creation, Respect.
